Our 2022 year of weddings

At last, after looking at just over 27,000 photos we delivered to our couples last year, here is a small selection of some of our favourite moments from our wedding season 2022.

It was certainly a busy one for us and also the first full year of weddings with no restrictions since the pandemic began.

To say it was special seeing couples at last get to have their day after postponing from 2020 and 2021, was an understatement! The ceremonies were a lot more emotional  than our pre-pandemic weddings and the evening parties were full of so much happiness and joy as couples and their loved ones got to celebrate at last.

We travelled a lot for weddings last year too with a wedding in Edinburgh (a special one as it was a family wedding) and we also flew to Italy to capture a wedding in Umbria. We visited venues we know well with a particular highlight as always having weddings at Upwaltham Barns. Most of my 2021 Spring couples had to postpone their days there. May was a particularly busy month for us with three Upwaltham weddings in a week and eight weddings there last year in total.

Always a joy to be at Upwaltham and looked after so well.  We also had weddings at some of my other favourite venues including Farbridge,  and The Pilgrims Rest, and had a lot of family home weddings too which were special.

I wish I could mention every venue in this round up post but there were just so many wonderful places we got to capture weddings last year.

To my couples, a huge thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding days. We have had so much fun getting to know you all and seeing you all get married.

To the suppliers we had the pleasure to work with this year too, I wish I could name you all but you know who you are. From the Videographers, Planners, Florists, Cake Designers, Caterers and Hair and Make Up Artists, thank you all for being amazing to work with.

Shooting as a duo and getting to work alongside my husband is one of the best things about my job.  Alex has certainly helped to increase the size of the galleries we have delivered with all the little moments he has seen and captured. I could not do this job without him and we certainly are a formidable team together and it makes me so happy I get to share these moments with him.

This is starting to sound a bit like an Oscars speech, so I am going to leave it now and let you enjoy the photos. If you think Alex and I would be the perfect fit for your wedding photography then do get in touch, we are taking bookings for 2024 and beyond now and would love to be a part of your day if we can.
